01
Price impact is the effect of your own order on a pool. Slippage is the difference between expected and executed results. Tolerance is the deviation you permit; increasing it does not improve a poor quote.
02
Fictional example: $100 buys 990 tokens, while $1,000 buys 9,000. The larger trade has a higher average cost. This illustrates order-size effects, not an actual token’s returns.
03
Record the network, full contract, input, expected and minimum output, and quote time. Fees or impact may already be reflected in the quote, so avoid double counting. Try a smaller quote and review liquidity and routing before increasing tolerance.
