Connecting generally reveals a public address and lets a site request further actions. An ERC-20 approval permits a specified spender to transfer tokens within an allowance. These definitions do not cover every chain or signature system.

Check three things: the token contract, the spender and the allowance. Record the network, purpose and transaction hash as well. A familiar logo does not establish that the target address is correct.

The allowance method reports the remaining amount for an owner and spender. Changing or revoking it usually requires a transaction. Revocation cannot recover funds already transferred. Our research pages require no wallet approval.
